Wal mart?

Stopped carrying evil dip this week.

I’m both grieved and relieved.

I saw it there Monday when I went to buy Havoc’s Nintendo DS & Mini Ninja’s as his birthday present. I had to get string cheese & the dip is visible from the string cheese display.

I didn’t feel pulled toward it though. I just thought to myself “oh yes, evil dip.” and walked away unscathed.

Today I was back in Wal Mart, returning some DS accessories and had to get yogurt. Out of habit I looked at the dip display and noticed there was no evil dip! Not only that, there were no other types of dip by that maker! Nothing from that company was on the shelves and the shelves were stocked with some other cheaper brand. And their artichoke parmesan dip had peppers in it.

I hate peppers in my dip.

So, I am at last free of the malevolent deliciousness that is evil dip.

*sniff*

Wish I had known though. I’d have bought some on Monday. The evil dip was right when it insisted I buy it before it disappeared from the shelves.

Damn you evil dip! and damn you Wal Mart as well.

    Randall's used to carry what I called "crack cookies." Seriously, I was addicted. They haven't had them for quite some time, but it never stops me from scanning the bakery department every. single. time I'm there! :)

    Sometimes, we dont see the signs-lol! Ill make sure to stock up on my favorite brand just incase they disappear.

    Don't you hate it when that happens? Wegmans does it all the time and I wish they'd give me some notice so I could rent a U-Haul and stock up.

I thought I was too late to sign up for it because I was a couple days behind on reading Mel’s blog, but then she contacted me and asked if I could do a post about punctuation. Punctuation? Yes. Weekly Winners Aug 24-30

Mayhem decided to take up knitting this week. He found he had plenty of time to knit in the car while we ran errands Oops! Dropped a stitch The dinosaurs were very busy the other afternoon. Once again they requested muffins and they pitched in to make them. Though there was some conflict over who got to stir. Rumors of muffins attracted other dinosaurs And there was some more conflict over control of the bowl The winners circle the bowl in a victory dance But they shouldn't celebrate too soon, because over on the kitchen table trouble is brewing. Revisiting the past

I went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival this weekend.  I went with some friends. It was our annual coven outing so we went without spouses or children. I have not been unencumbered at the Fair since 2002. It was liberating!  It also made me very nostalgic. The first store we went into was a pottery shop. It was the people who made this bowl. I bought it from them in 1997 It is currently on my kitchen island full of recently picked apples. They had been a guest vendor in 1997. They had a single weekend spot in a temporary pavilion near the jousting arena. Over the years they progressed to a tiny shop on a side corner to a shop in the back row, to this one, on the main road. The temporary pavilion is long gone, replaced with a permanent building. The next shop was Catskill Mountain Moccasins. They've been in the same place since we started coming to the Fair.
