It's good to be home
You know you have been stuck in a car with small children for too damn long when you and your spouse staring high fiving one another when you spot a McD's with a play area. It took us 9 hours to get out of Florida, a trip that should only take 6. Traffic was moving at 20mph on I75 for nearly the whole time we were on it. No reason for it. No construction, no accidents, no flat tire or cops having pulled someone over (why would they, we were 50mph under the speed limit). At one point I had to pull over so DH could hack his way into the underbrush & find a spot for Havoc to poop. I'd been hoping to reach an exit for 10 minutes by then & only gone a couple of miles. I seem to have a ton of laundry to do. I'm not sure how that happened because I did laundry the day before we left. There should only be 4 sets of clothing & 2 of Pjs from that day waiting for us when we got home. I did laundry the night before we left FL as well. So there should b...
Monday Ramblings
It’s May already! I swear it was just February and I was sure Feb would never end. It seemed like there would always be piles of snow. It was 90 degrees and humid yesterday. That’s late July weather. Apparently spring has come & gone already. We had to buy Mayhem new shoes yesterday. The ones he has been wearing for the last 6 months are still too big for him. They’ve been worn out too and they literally fall off his feet when he sits in a chair, if his feet don’t touch the ground. I had bought him a size 1, thinking he would grow into them in a couple months, since he had outgrown the child’s 11s in about 4 weeks and the 12s seemed an exact fit. The 1’s had that thumb’s width of space in them they recommend. Except his feet have not grown an inch. The 12s still fit perfectly. I got the 13s this time. He said they were too tight. Yeah, well you wear shoes 2 sizes too big for 6 months and I’m sure properly fitting shoes do feel tight. Havoc has a new insult word – hippi...
Love these! In the first one, love the hair, love the journaling, love the layout! Okay, so I love it all. I also really like "sweet." Nice to see flowers and bright colors on a boy page. Finally, the 11 things layout if very eye-catching; the design highlights everything in a pleasing way.

Wow these are amazing
ReplyDeleteGreat pages love the "Sweet" page - great journalling and a fab title - want to try that (text within text) sometime. The 11 things is fun too - though by the looks of your journalling it may not be working as a project - funky page design though!
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong I was disappointed that the blue arrow hair wasn't used for the professional photo?
ReplyDeleteLove your layouts here! Lots of great variety and pretty colours :) I especially like the layout design of the first one!
ReplyDeleteGreat LOs!...Love how you've done the 'SWEET' title..and the concept of the '11 Things'

Oh, brilliant :) I love the 11 things idea for a layout, but they're all great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really have to strain my ingenuity with girly kits from designers I CT for.
ReplyDeleteAs a project, it needs help, but I'm working on it. The 'sweet' is word art from Darcy Baldwin at Sweet Shoppe Designs. I love the idea but Paint Shop Pro makes text within text a bit too challenging for me
ReplyDeleteWe held off on the blue hair specifically so we'd miss the professional photos
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love paper blocking but getting it all to match up frustrates me.
ReplyDeleteIt was for a challenge where they wanted you to use arrows pointing to things in a numbered list & I thought it went well with a recent post topic
